The Moonlight Throw
This throw is lightweight yet warm and versatile. The mohair is luxuriously soft.
It aims to emulate the way light shimmers and flows on surfaces as the sun dips under the horizon of the Earth, and the moon reflects its vibrance. It is the bridge between dusk and dawn. The weft yarns are woven in and brushed against a slate warp to inspire a restfulness and groundedness. It evokes mental presence and physical stability. It is a meditation in design and application.
This mohair throw is skillfully woven at Cushendale Woollen Mills in Graiguenamanagh, Ireland. The mill has been operated by the Cushen family for six generations since 1778. Before that, Cistercian monks operated the mill since 1204. Learn more about Cushendale here.
